Pathway Component Details
Name: tumor necrosis factor receptor associated factor 6 (TRAF6)
Definition: This tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor-associated factor (TRAF) interacts with the Ser-Thr kinase IRAK1, transforming growth factor-b-activated kinase (TAK)-binding protein 1 (TAB1), and TAB2 in response to interleukin-1 (IL-1) stimulation; it contains a TRAF domain and a RING finger motif. The novel zinc finger protein TIZ may play a role during osteoclast differentiation by modulating TRAF6 signaling activity.
